Punish Woman Who Threw Dog Down Trash Chute

"Recently, a miniature dog was thrown down a garbage chute into a trash compactor in Brooklyn. Police managed to pull the dog out from the garbage compactor located in the Sheepshead and Nostrand houses, but the small dog was unable to walk and in tremendous pain by the time it was rescued.

The dog’s owner was handcuffed at the scene. As she was being placed into the police cruiser, she stated, “He made me miserable. I have pain.” Police questioned the woman, but she was later released. According to neighbors of the dog’s owner, they had seen the dog waiting in front of its owner’s fourth-floor apartment door earlier in the day. Not too long after, one of the apartment’s residents heard a dog whining in the compactor. “She went to throw out the garbage and she heard the dog crying,” another resident said. “I ran to housing and got [them] to open up where the [compactors] are because the door was locked.” Eventually, the resident who initially heard the dog’s cries found it broken and bleeding at the bottom of the compactor. After being transferred to the local ASPCA, veterinarians had no choice but to euthanize it.

Please sign the petition below to demand that the dog’s owner be punished for her alleged crime and to demand justice for the harmless dog who died as a result of her cruelty."
