Leaman Jr High - 7th grade reading playlists

The 7th grade playlists distributed in ELA classes aren't helpful for the growth of students. Teachers post lots of work into Canvas. They instruct you to do said work without teaching. If you go up and ask sure they will help but, you're forced to learn from simple worded instructions. There's not a time when these teachers go up and teach. People are expected to work everything out on their own and learn themselves. A teacher's job is to teach, inform, instruct and guide you through new topics. Leaving you with a instructional paragraphs and a video to watch Isn't teaching. Most students find it hard to even keep a high grade in ELA because of this wack system. If other teachers can teach, talk and actually guide kids how to process information on certain subjects why cant ELA teachers. We're expected to figure it out in ELA. Whilst In other classes were taught. Not only does this create and unstable learning experience. This style of work Is hard to grow and learn by. The things ELA teachers are doing in this school, anyone can do. Uploading a curriculum and a due date. Not to mention the work load is definitely way too much for you not to be taught. Even people who are OK working independently without being taught. The work load is too much. That's not even considering neurodivergent students who need to be guided. To put it briefly, teachers are here to teach, ELA teachers aren't any different.
