Save North Torrance Fields

The property that has housed the North Torrance Girls Softball and North Torrance Little Leagues at Hamilton Adult Education Campus, 2606 West 182nd Street) is in jeopardy of being sold to housing developers by the Torrance Unified School District (TUSD). For the last 30 years, we have called the Hamilton Adult Education campus our home. We have raised generations of young athletes at this location since our opening and would like to preserve these fields for future years to come. Usable green space in North Torrance is very scarce. We are concerned that TUSD will not be able to provide comparable and safe space for our leagues. Please help us fight to preserve these fields. We are not supportive of the district reducing green space! We, the undersigned, request that you do not sell the Hamilton Adult School, which includes North Torrance Little League Baseball and Girls Softball League fields. If it is necessary we then request that, prior to getting rid of the fields you either produce ones that are similar in terms of grounds, buildings, and facilities or better than now, including lights. Our little leagues provide benefits to the youth of Torrance that are irreplaceable, some of which are: teamwork, integrity, hard work, and respect for each other.
