Tell Tesco to remove misleading milk signage!

Tesco dispaly in store above the milk stands, a point of sale advertisment promoting British milk. The advert includes the words "healthy and happy". This is misleading, particularly the use of "happy"!

Mothers who have their babies taken from them when the maternal bond is strong are most certainly not happy. The bellowing of grief and distress is widely documented as the cow and calf suffer when seperated. She will never see her calf again, more often than not it will soon be dead. The milk she intends for her newborn is destined for humans instead.

Perhaps the cruellest twist of all is that after a while she resigns herself to her loss, only to suffer the same mental grief all over again when the next "pregnancy and loss cycle" begins.

Please send a message to Tesco saying the signage is very wide of the mark, and must be removed! Customers are being mislead as to the mental health of dairy cows. Far from being "happy" they miss their babies, as would we humans if we were the victims instead!

Tesco should remove the misleading point of sale advert using the word "happy" to describe dairy cows who have had their babies taken so humans can have their milk. Cows suffer mental trauma when they lose their young - just as we humans do!
