Studies have shown that lobsters are very sentient beings. Lobsters have a central nervous system and feel pain just like humans. However, lobsters don't have an autonomic nervous system which means that they cannot go into shock and have their pain stop. They feel pain right up until they die! However, Wegmans, among other food chains refuse to take notice of this. I, personally have called Wegmans HQ to talk about the extreme overcrowding and inhumane conditions, to no avail. They said they would ''take note''. A month later, there is no change, except a new sign. ''Live Lobsters''. Yesterday, I walked by to see if there are any improvements. Instead, I found a very overcrowded tank, with a lobster squeezed between the separator. I ran to one of the employees. They said they would ''see what they could do''. The lobster is still stuck as of now.
Please, sign this petition if you think it's wrong to eat lobsters, wrong to capture them, wrong to subject live, feeling beings to such cruelty.
