STOPPT den grausamen Pferdemarkt/ STOP gruelty horse market in Skaryszew/Polen

Das Schreien und angstvolle Wiehern der Pferde ist schon von Weitem zu hören. Kommt man näher, so kann man die blanke Angst in ihren Augen sehen. Jährlich findet an einem Wochenende im Februar in Skaryszew/Polen der größte und grausamste Pferdemarkt statt. Hunderte von Pferden (im Jahr 2012 waren es ca. 2000) werden dort jedes Jahr regelrecht verscherbelt, danach quer durch Europa nach Italien, Frankreich und andere Länder transportiert, wo sie meist auf der Schlachtbank landen. 

Auf dem Markt und bei den Transporten herrschen furchtbare Bedingungen: Blutlachen auf dem Boden, Tiere stehen mit offenen Brüchen im Schlamm. Verkäufer und Käufer sind stark betrunken, dafür gibt es Zeugen und Berichte auf polnischer Seite. Beim Ein- und Ausladen der Pferde passieren schwere Unfälle. Welche Greueltaten gegenüber diesen hochsensiblen Tieren! Polnische Tierrechtler und Tierschützer kämpfen seit Jahren gegen diesen Markt.

Doch es gibt Hoffnung: Nicht nur wegen des Pferdefleischskandals waren laut der polnischen Nachrichtenagentur PAP in diesem Jahr Inspektoren der Veterinärbehörde und Polizisten vor Ort. Das allein reicht jedoch nicht: Die Gesetzeslage innerhalb Europas zum Tierschutz ist uneinheitlich und schützt Tiere vor solchen Grausamkeiten derzeit nicht. Wir brauchen ein einheitliches europaweites Tierschutzgesetz, umfassend alle EU-Länder! Wann es dazu kommen könnte, ist kaum zu prognostizieren. Doch das Leid der Pferde auf dem Markt in Skaryszew in Polen muss so schnell wie möglich ein Ende haben. Dieser Markt muss verboten werden!

Ziel ist es, 30.000 Unterschriften zu sammeln und diese den wichtigsten Anlaufstellen, z. B. der polnischen Botschaft in Berlin und verantwortlichen EU-Politikern zu übergeben. 

Wir werden nicht mehr still zusehen, nicht mehr wegsehen, was in unseren EU-Nachbarländern passiert. Lasst uns aufschreien, unterschreiben, dafür kämpfen, alles tun, damit diese Tierqual endlich ein Ende hat.

The screaming and fearful neighing of horses is heard from far. If you come closer, you can see the sheer panic in their eyes.
Every year, over a weekend in February there is the largest and cruelest horse market in Skaryszew / Poland .

Hundreds of horses (in 2012 about 2000!) were sold there yearly in a cruelty way, then transported across Europe through Italy, France and another countries where they usually end up at a slaughter.

The market and the transport are ruled under terrible conditions: blood on the floor, horses with open fractures in the mud.
What atrocity against these highly sensitive animals! Polish animal rights and animal rights activists have been fighting for years against this market.

Sellers and buyers are very drunk, there are polish witnesses and reports about it. By loading and unloading the horses serious accidents happen.

The frightened animals get completely panicked, fight back, be brutally dragged by several men with ropes, horses are falling down and that cause injuries. It happens, they are beaten with a whip. And the drunken crowd applauds.

But there is hope: Because of the horse meat scandal the Polish news agency PAP reported this year, that inspectors from the Veterinary Department and police were on the ground.

That alone, however, is not enough: The law for animal protection in Europe is not uniform and don't protects at present animals from such cruelty.

WE NEED A UNIFORM EUROPE-WIDE ANIMAL WELFARE LAW, INCLUDING ALL EU COUNTRIES!

This requires the will to act of all EU-Member-States – and that's what we must achieve!  WE WILL NOT CEASE TO FIGHT FOR IT!

But the suffering of the horses at the market in Skaryszew in Poland must quickly end!

We will no longer stand by silently, not looking away, what happens in our EU neighbor countries.

The goal is to collect 30,000 signatures and hand them over to the most important places, such as Polish Embassy in Berlin, EU politicians, veterinary commissions and so on.

This market needs to be banned! Let us shout out, sign it, fight for it, do everything so that they finally put an end to animal suffering.
