Audrey, a 2 year old pit bull was discovered on her death bed. She was discovered at Joyce Park in Fairfield. She weighed only 27 pounds and her temperature was so low it could not even be registered on the thermometer.  She was eating her own fur to try to survive. She had protuding bones and badly infected paws. Her paws were cracked and bleeding from her having to stand in her own feces and urine over a long period of time.

Edwin Saunders is her abuser and he admitted to owning Audrey.  He is chared with abandoning animals, fail to file dog tag, cruelty to animals, dangerous dog, and liability insurance required.  We want the max sentence handed to the abuser. Animal abuse needs to be taken serously and punished as such.  Ordinances are in place in the state of Ohio in regards to pit bulls. If the state of Ohio wants to impose bans and laws about owning pit bulls then the courts should impose the proper punishment when they are not followed. 

We ask that the honorable judge Gattermeyer hand down the max sentence to Edwin Saunders.
