Petition To Mark Zuckerberg To Bar Holocaust Deniers From Facebook

We condemn Mark Zuckerberg's decision not to ban Holocaust deniers from Facebook or delete their posts and demand that he reverse this decision immediately. The Holocaust is the supreme instance of moral and criminal violation in the history of humankind; so much so that the adjucators of the Nuremberg war crime trials were often at a loss as to how to apply the law to a crime without precedent and for which no actual law as yet existed. Today, such laws exist. The Holocaust is internationally recognized as the benchmark of human rights crimes, and the effort to disprove its occurence is recognized as a criminal deed. The fact of the Holocaust is not a matter for public debate. An immense body of evidence exists in the form of taped survivor testimony, transcripts from war crime trials, footage of the death camps themselves, and an incredible array of historical studies and books. The fact of six million corpses was more than enough proof.
"Proof" carries weight only among those concerned with justice. Proof derives its substance from the existence of a framework for Truth and in which Justice rests upon a dependable, recognizable and most of all, understandable consensus of ethicality. But where is the ethicality in providing a platform to those who deny and seek to refute the unspeakable horrors of the state-sponsored mass murder of six million Jews, including one million Jewish children? Permitting this makes Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook culpable in the tolerance of the crime and horrifies and sickens those who participate in Facebook for good and decent reasons, including Holocaust survivors and the children and grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors.
