Chronic Pain Patients vs The Opioid Crisis

There is an opioid crisis in the U.S. but there is also another crisis, the one that's going to affect the millions of people suffering with chronic pain. Chronic diseases have no cure, therefore we will have this pain for the rest of our lives. For most of us the only way we can get out of bed and off our heating pads is with help from pain medication. I have degenerative disk disease and spinal stenosis and anklyosing spondylitis along with TMJD and endometriosis, I also had a failed cervical anterior diskectomy and fusion surgery that has left me with permanent nerve damage in both my hands. I am a mother of 3 and I'm not going to give up what little bit I can do for and with them. There may be people out there that are fighting addiction but there are more of us fighting for our quality of life. We demand that you think about us when making your decisions on medication.
