we've got signatures, help us get to 1,000 by February 20, 2014
In 2009 the documentary The Cove, made the entire world aware of the attrocities being carried out by Japan in a small cove. The footage of this documentary is the stuff of nightmares, something that should've put a stop to the slaughter right there and then. Unfortunately we find ourselves in 2013 and the slaughter is still going on without any signs to stop.
A constant group of activists monitor the slaughter every single day of thousands of dolphins and other purpoises. The world is also not unfamiliar with Japan's constant flaunting of international law and whaling in prohibited waters. Blogs like: http://forthedolphins.tumblr.com/ record every single thing going on, and yet we are doing nothing. We need to speak up, people need to be aware- do something- anything.
As a new prime minister sets in we can hope that perhaps he will bring with him some change, that is why this petition should be made. People need to be aware, this needs to be an ongoing petition until it stops, people worldwide need to say something to Japan. Our own governments aren't doing anything so we have to find our voice through this wonderful petition site. The slaughter keeps going on and on and on, please, I beg of you please make this a petition and spread it, share it, and keep it going until they stop. They have to stop. If we can't stop this, what hope do we have to tackle bigger issues? Japan cannot continue its pillage of the sea in this way.
