Demand justice for chained dog that was attacked by police with pepper spray

An Australian police officer was caught on surveillance camera attacking a chained dog with pepper spray.

The footage, taken during a raid on a private residence, shows the offending police officer taunting the dog by pretending to bark at it. The dog barks back at the officer in response and then runs towards the officer though it is not able to reach him, due to being chained.

The officer then attacks the dog with pepper spray, which makes the dog run the other way. The officer then starts to pelt objects at the dog.

Two accompanying officers are seen laughing, with one officer filming the incident with his phone.

The dog's owner, who was not home at the time, made a formal complaint to police. The offending officer has been placed on desk duty while an internal investigation is held. However, the dog’s owner believes the officer should be suspended.

Police are supposed to be protecting the innocent, not taunting and abusing them. Please sign the petition to demand justice for dog that was attacked by police with pepper spray.
