I was informed that any employee that calls out sick will be written up. Even if you have a doctor's note. I heard that this came from Headquarters. This is another rule that they hope to push for their benefit. This company doesn't treat their help with any respect, futhermore its easy to sit in their office and i feel that that this is unfair treatment to their employees. We are only allowed to work 25 hrs a week. Futhermore after being there for over a year (no raise ) for all the hard work that i put in. would tell any customer to BOYCOTT any Royal Farms because of the treatment of their employees. The District Managers aren't any better than the Corporate Bigwigs. What they should do is to come down and do our jobs in the alloted time we have which isn't enough. I may get Fired for this but i intend to go one step further and file a complaint with the EEOC because of this rule. This is very one sided and we shouldn't be treated this way. This is a real big company and i also had trouble with my paycheck which took almost a week to get because someone in payroll messed up. Then i also got a call for another person saying that they had right name and wrong address check sent to Whitemarsh. Finally got yesterday but its only because i called payroll 2 times and sent out another check and Fedexed same day. I feel that they should be held accountable for their eythmistakes i know we are. We are on the front lines. These people have no idea but yet they keep coming up with more rules. I also heard that they want hours that you are available so instead of them making up schedule they have computer do it.
