Petition to Keep Stafford County Drinking Water Sources Safe

PLEASE ONLY SIGN IF YOU LIVE IN STAFFORD COUNTY, VA

In December of 2016 the Stafford County Board of Supervisors enacted Ordinance 016-39 which updated the County Code to protect public and private sources of drinking water from potential contamination by new cemeteries. The AMAA wants to reverse this legislation and establish a cemetery at 1508 Garrisonville Road. This impacts local resident's private wells as well as all Stafford County homes who draw water from the Smith Lake Reservoir. We, the undersigned, as concerned residents of Stafford County urge The Board of Supervisors to act now to protect our sources of drinking water by voting to keep County Code Sec. 28-39(o), "Cemeteries" unchanged.
