people should sign for this because its not right to allow minors to use illegal drugs that may cause adverse affects on everyone in their family and cause a possible undesirable reaction with certain prescribed medications. many teens are having problems with depression and thoughts of suicide due to bullying or problems that lay within the home. many of which problems are solved with counseling and medication.
when a child has a mental problem and is taking medicine for it, it can be put with in a tolerably degree with medicine and counseling for both p[parents and child. so when a mentally disturbed child looks for outside resources such as drugs unknown to parents can cause and adverse affect and cancel out the current medication.
the law right now states that a child over 14 years of age has a right to deny any information to their parents about any drugs they may be taking. even if the drugs are causing an unsafe environment for the family around them.
