10,000,000th Post Justice
As you may or may not know, some time ago TWC selected the winner for the 10,000,000th post. The winner was Fin. Although he certainly deserves the award, he was not the only winner.
Fin was selected based on a net vote count. He was chosen as winner by subtracting the total number of deleted posts from the gross posts number. My complaint is as follows: why do deleted posts not count? A post is a post. Thus, in actuality, I also have the 10,000,000th post in gross vote count. Just check my signature for a link to the post.
It is my strong opinion, that the decision that was made was rather subjective. It was never explained why deleted posts do not count. You cannot change the fact that a certain amount of posts were made, even if you erase them. It's like history; just because you burn the records of events does not mean that they did not occur. Without these events there would be no present. Hence, my post is just as much the 10,000,000th post as Fin's.
