STOP cutting the band, strings AND the gifted programs in Vancouver, B.C.

As a current student participating in one of the many, diverse programs that the VSB (Vancouver School Board) provides, I am very disappointed that some of these amazing programs will be CUT. Band, Strings, the Gifted Programs, including other programs will be cut in this new budget. We, as children have a RIGHT to education, so why are you chipping away our rights? Canada is supposed to be a place that welcomes all, so why is it that OUR RIGHTS are being taken away by us? I honestly don't care if it's the government being to selfish to spend money, or is it the VSB asking for too much, and not spending their cash on the right things. What matters is, WE NEED THESE PROGRAMS. As a grade 7 student, I am leaving my elementary school to head off to high school, and I know that my fellow friends I leave behind DESERVE the same education that I had the chance to experience, and ALL public schools should have these BASIC needs met.
