On August 30th the news came out that the show has been cancelled!
Please join in asking the SyFy Channel Executive Vice President of Original Content, Bill McGoldrick, to reverse the decision made in New York and renew The Wil Wheaton Project so that Geekdom, from sea to shining sea, may continue to get its weekly fix of laughs both at and with its favorite pop entertainment.
The Wil Wheaton Project, Tuesday evenings at 10 on the SyFy Channel, was the sole programming available that is Of the Geek Culture, By the Geek Culture, and For the Geek Culture.
It was the one-stop on the dial for those in Geekdom to get updated on popular content while laughing at and with themselves - while inviting others to join in.
The show as described by the SyFy Channel:

On August 30th it was revealed that the SyFy Executives in New York decided to cancel The Wil Wheaton Project. Please share the link to this petition and encourage your friends to share their thoughts and feelings about the show when signing. Maybe we can help reverse the decision.
