STOP BROOKHAVEN TOWN'S LAW BANNING FEEDING FERAL CATS

The Town of Brookhaven, Long Island, NY is planning on implementing a Law that will BAN people from feeding feral cats on town property(beaches, parks, etc.).

If these cat colonies are not taken care of, the cats will mutiply rapidly, get sick and STARVE to death!!! People who are feeding the cats usually have them spayed/neutered and are doing the right thing for them and for the surrounding area.

We want to get enough people to join this PETITION and then bring it to the town.

The town's solution for these animals, I'm sure, is NOT the right solution.

We need to come together to show support and save the lives of these innocent animals.

We the undersigned, are against the proposed law to ban feeding feral cats in the Town of Brookhaven.  Enclosed is the ongoing online petition with over 1,700 signatures, which includes signatures from Town of Brookhaven residents, against such a law, along with comments and more humane solutions.  This is in addition to the ongoing local petition with Brookhaven residents' signatures.  We are hoping the Town will work with the public and not allow such an inhumane and destructive law to pass.  Many animal rescue people and organizations are more than willing to help the Town decrease feral populations, none of which can be done should this law pass.

Thanking you for your time and assistance with this matter.
