Justice for Joey

Justice for Joey is for stopping senseless cruelty against animals. Make it a felony offense in Arkansas and nation-wide for individuals harming animals.

Joey was shot and killed by a neighbor. We were driving down a public county road and just as we were coming into view a neighbor lifted his hunting rifle and killed the dog for no reason. Animals deserve protection too! They are living sentient beings who change our lives. Joey, like many other animals, was taken from this world too soon. It could have been US who got shot. Joey is a hero.

The police took a report and finalized it. Now the district attorney is "on vacation" so NOTHING has been done to create justice for Joey and other animals like him who have been killed in cold blood. Nor is our community safe from reckless endangerment of human or animal lives! Lawyers were empathetic but yet want to say he has no "market value" like a pure breed horse etc. "He is just a dog." Shame on you.

Sign this petition to send a message to the State of Arkansas and other states this is WRONG. Animal Cruelty is an offense on not only our animals life, but a serious issue to our community. We want to be safe, we want our animals safe. Make it a felony offense! Bring Justice to the perpetrator(s) to these crimes. In the name of Joey and all the animals out there who have been killed. YOUR LIVES MATTER!

No help yet for this injustice! No one saw him pull the trigger, what? Only one standing with a gun. Had a rouge hunter (up to a mile) shot our dog as they wish to contend then explain how the suspect was not shot. Today he taunted my roommate AGAIN when she went to the mailbox. Pointing a gun at her. Still no police call back nor did they show up. The whole community is amuck. Makes a person want to move from a place they have called home for years! Seriously sad.

Well today is the day the prosecuting attorney was supposed to be back. Guess what? He won't be back until the end of the week! So now nothing is being done still. This is all very heartbreaking that no one in Madison County Arkansas seems to take any of the serious. Our dog lost his life and the community is at risk by none of us knowing whether we are safe to drive by his house. There is NO other way for any of us to leave without going past his house. VERY SAD!

Monday is the day the prosecutor will be back in. Keep calling or signing this petition. The suspect has got to walk around (visibly armed). He is now considered a danger to our community and furry family's! What a horrible shame nothing has been done to date. It is my understanding a warrant could have been issued for his arrest with just a judges signature. How unimportant this matter seams! we fear for lives! Left wondering if the suspect intends to shoot again. SHAME on Arkansas!

the prosecuting attorney's answering machine has been off for days. No charges filed yet. it is my understanding an arrest could have been made without the Prosecuting attorney. So what's the deal Madison County Arkansas? Add insult to injury a witness was kicked off the suspects property for talking to the police about Joey being shot by the suspect. (he's lived there years!) So the suspect still walks free, killed a dog, endangered lives and made someone homeless. Wow- this all really sucks!
