The world today is traveling at a high rate of speed in a downward spiral spiritually, morally, economically, and physically. We have no ability to stop it. It will soon come to an end. We cannot stop it because we cannot put an end to greed, or selfishness, or oppression. What we can do is make a right choice for what comes next.

A letter to the father of my very dearest Friend,

Dearest Holy Heavenly Father,

It is to you that I come with immense gratitude and thanks for all the many, many blessings and gifts that you have showered on me from the very beginning of my life. You are a gracious, and merciful, and loving GOD. You are the only living GOD. You were before the beginning and you’ll be after the end. You have blessed me beyond measure with this very precious gift of friendship, I say, your very son.

As it was with Jeremiah, so it was with me, before I was even born you knew me. I know this because I remember, very vividly, the day that you created me. The day that you took the pile of dirt that was before you and, with that dirt, created this messenger that is devoted to you and to telling others about this incredible gift. This gift that you offer each and every one. This precious gift that will be rejected by most, but adored above all by a select group of wise men and women.

Remember that pile of dirt? You took something so very, very base and created something that you intended to keep forever. How did you do that? Some say the power of GOD cannot be proved, but that is so very wrong. I saw and felt what you did. Anyone who says that you are not, that you don’t exist, is a liar. And a fool! I witnessed your power.

I remember the first instance that I saw light, my day of birth. I hadn’t seen you yet, but, when my eyes were opened, I saw your son. I remember it so well. I was dripping wet.

Remember how I just cried and cried, very obviously without control over the crying? Remember, I could not yet speak? But, since that day you have given me the gift of speech, one of the many, many gifts that you have bestowed on me, thank you, thank you heavenly father. You have given me words that I may speak. You have given me the ability to walk LORD. You have fed me, comforted me, loved me, and cared for me. You have protected me and defended me. You have given me everything that I have ever needed and so very, very much that I needed not. Gifts that were simply given from the most gracious of beings, you.

I am growing each day LORD as a result of your constant nurturing. Growing and getting stronger with more and more abilities as time goes on. Maturing to the day when I am given the greatest gift of all, to see your face.

But, when I was young…do you remember LORD? I was such a rascal. Always with the self-centeredness and temper tantrums. I would often argue and fight with the other children, remember LORD? You are so gracious with the gift giving. One of my favorite gifts LORD is the one that keeps on giving, forgiveness.

You are so, so gracious. I have no right LORD to even ask for anything and yet you say ask, and it shall be given. And so I ask, LORD, for strength and wisdom. Strength to continue to walk. (You know what I speak of LORD. Though we have not yet spoken face to face I have heard your voice from the very first day. I was listening to your voice long before I could reply with my own, before I could even speak, you know that.) LORD I need strength to continue walking. I get so tired LORD. Sometimes I feel so weak. Sometimes, you’ve seen me LORD, all I can do is crawl, and that, between rests. Please give me strength LORD. I know I should be walking very, very well by now.

And wisdom LORD. Please give to me wisdom. The ability to discern the path on which I will walk. And wisdom, so that I will continue each day to hear and obey your voice. For it is the walking, LORD, that is my gift to you.

I love you dearly, with all my heart.
