Don't Bomb Yemen into Starvation

Millions of people face starvation and your signature could make a difference.

Last week President Trump approved a missile strike on a Syrian controlled airbase. He claims that after seeing images of children choking to death due to the chemical weapons dropped by Assad, he was moved to action, that what Assad did was inhumane and could not be tolerated.

But on the other end of the Arabian Peninsula he is about to make American citizens complicit in a military action that could lead to the death of millions. Experts believe that in the weeks ahead Trump will approve a "major transfer of bombs to Saudi Arabia" and greenlight the bombing of the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah. The port serves as a vital lifeline where it receives 80% of its food supply. The Yemeni people are already experiencing a devastating drought that has thrown the country into war.

If Trump approves this bomb transfer and chooses to greenlight a coalition assault on Hodeidah, many will die and millions could starve. Yemen, already the poorest nation in the region is dealing with war and drought we cannot allow him to add starvation to their list of problems. Not in our name.

Sign this petition and call your representative and tell him you are against the bombing of Hodeidah. According to experts we have less than a few weeks to change Trump's mind.

Dear Representative and President Trump;

I do not want you to allow the bombing of the port city of Hodeidah in my name. Doing so could cause millions to starve and worsen the situation in Yemen and the rest of the Middle East. I implore you to consider the lives that will be lost and the shame that this action will bring upon the United States. Don’t make us even more complicit in this humanitarian crisis.
