EPA/FDA Approval Boards: Staffed by employees of very companies making the applications.

Few remember that Ronald Reagan fired or transferred all of the federal government employees who staffed the EPA and FDA new product review and approval boards. He replaced them with short-term contract employees whose full time employment is with the very companies making the products and submitting them for approval.
Those corporate-staffed review and approval boards; write toxicology protocol, review corporate submitted data and make the FINAL approval that we, the people, have to live with.
Prior to Reagan, the approval percentage was 47% for new products.
Reagan and after: 97%.
If you still feel safe consuming GMOs, agricultural herbicide chemicals, food additives and the use of plastics in virtually every genre of your world you either work for those companies or are simply not paying attention. Every time anyone from those industries holds up their EPA/FDA approval and says the "government has shown them to be safe" they are fostering a fraudulent and illegally obtained federal approval.
However, no president since Reagan has changed the process because the federal government needs the monies these companies are taxed on. Disrupting the flow of tax dollars is counter-economic health and each president since Reagan has not had the courage to stand up for our health, welfare and quality of life and say: "No More Toxins!"

Today we need true leadership, not just more baseless adherence to fraud and lies.

Mr. President: Businesses need to evolve, just like people, just like life.
These old corporate villains need to be replaced with new companies who have the health, welfare and safety of the world at their core: not those dinosaurs who have purchased approvals to sell toxic and death-causing products.
Let evolution take its place, Mr President. Fire the corporate shills from the governemnt EPA/FDA approval & review boards and hire BACK full time government employees who will work to keep our lives and our future safe.
