We demand the stop of animal testing

When you read a label for shampoo or cleaning products it might state "this product has not been tested on animals" But what is animal testing? Animal testing has been around for centuries and if used to study products on animals to see if they are fit for humans. Well you might say " there is nothing wrong with that ..... right? "
Right, your right there is nothing wrong with studying mice to see if the prefer peanut butter or cheese, If your studying that hamsters run faster then guinea pigs, but that's not what you'll see in animal testing labs. You will see rabbits, mice, guinea pigs , dogs cats, fish etc. being tested with cleaning products. Rabbits are used for shampoo because they have such large eyes. (So called) scientists then pour different cleaning products into the rodents eyes so they can be studied. Can you imagine living in a lab cage when you suddenly get shampoo poured down your throat or have laundry detergent sprayed in your mouth without any pain killers to ease the pain. Animals are different from humans and can die from thing we can't. Expert vets and scientists say animal testing is not effective and not accurate. Animal experiments are part of medical history, but history is where they belong. Compared to today's potential to understand the basis of human disease at cellular and molecular levels, experimenting on live animals seems positively primitive. So if we want better quality medical research, safer more effective pharmaceuticals and cures to human diseases, we need to turn the page in the history books and embrace the new chapter—21st century science. Please help stop animal testing today! - Andrea
