Congress: Support the Wounded Warrior Service Dog Act!

Growing research shows the tremendous benefits that service animals offer veterans and military personnel. Service dogs trained to respond to special cues are transforming the lives of "wounded warriors" suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).

Unfortunately, the growing demand for service dogs leaves many of our nation's veterans without a trained companion to improve their quality of life. A new bill would change that.

H.R.2493, the Wounded Warrior Service Dog Act of 2015, would award grants to organizations that train service dogs to perform tasks to soothe veterans and help them readjust to life outside the military. Our nation's veterans deserve the best possible quality of life after returning from the horrors of war. Service dogs can do a great deal to accomplish that. Please sign the petition to urge Congress to pass the Wounded Warrior Service Dog Act!

I am writing to support the Wounded Warrior Service Dog Act of 2015. I believe this act would improve the lives of countless service men and women, who deserve to return to the best possible quality of life following their time in the military.
