Save our affordable childcares, and reinstate Starla Budden's childcare license

Childcare's are being forced to close their doors due to non-payment from the Dhs childcare assistance program. Without payment from these programs that are under contract to pay, it causes childcare's to let go of their employees, and forces the law-abiding childcare's to either break the laws set in place to keep our children safe, which in turn causes the childcare's to close their doors, or to follow the law and close their doors due to be outilized numbered and under staffed.
Due to the lack of payment from the dhs childcare assistance program, Starla Budden of shining star childcare was put in this disposition. She opted to sacrifice herself and continue to watch children while being over ratio in hopes that she would be paid and could rehire her workers that needed to be laid off due to lack of funds. None of the children were hurt, neglected or even noticed a difference in the care that was provided. As a parent of one of the children that attends shining star, I can state that the parents were also unaware of the lack of staffing and also did not see any difference in the care provided to the children that attended shining star.
We need to band together and let our voices be heard. Children deserve childcare's that are beneficial to their emotional, physical and mental growth as much as parents need to have affordable childcare, and the childcare providers need to be able to depend on the signed payment contracts as well.
