Greyhound Racing  was a losing "sport" back then and it will be a losing venture this time.  Not only for the dogs who will be involved in the racing, but for the many unwanted dogs that will be "euthanised" or sent to be "practised" on at the hands of veterinary students at a university close by. Please help us stop the reintroduction of this disgusting "sport" before it's too late for these beautiful dogs.

Dear Mr Dickson

Please accept this petition on behalf of all those who have signed and who are against the racing of greyhounds.  There is more than enough evidence to suggest this so called "sport" is nothing more than a cruel money raising effort by trainers, some of whom have no regard for the dog's welfare.  It is well known that unwanted dogs are being sent to the University at Gatton to be used for practice for the veterinary students.  If they don't win or are not up to the trainers/owners standards then they are disposed of.  We need to take a step forward and say no to the abuse and cruelty these dogs endure.  It was not a propersous concern in the past and there's no saying it will do any better now.  Please consider our concerns.

Thank you for your time.
