Petition to prevent schools having the right to control the colour of your hair.

Currently schools have the right to force their students to dress in certain ways, have or not have piercings and to decide what colours you can and can't have your hair, while the first two reasons can be put down to health and safety I believe students should have the right to choose their own hair colour. I think this because the colour of a person's hair can affect their social confidence and how the act, this is because some people can be insecure of their hair colour for many reasons. This matters because pupils cannot change their hair colour and so cannot overcome these fears.
It has also got to the point in some schools were hair colours such as white and strawberry blonde are seen as extreme hair colours despite being natural, this causes pupils extreme discomfort in their natural look and currently they can be forced to dye their hair and if they choose not to, as it is your choice, can be removed from the school or punished for not doing so. I don't think the colour of a persons hair affects their ability to learn, sign this petition if you agree. Our aim is to get regulations put in place to allow students to choose their own hair colour.
