Americans Against Hatred

The goal of this petitition is to gather the signature of ONE MILLION Americans who will stand against the issues that have divided our country since it was founded more than 200 years ago.

By signing this petition, you agree to speak out to your friends, families, and co-workers when or if you witness them promoting words or acts of racism, sexism, classism, agism, homophobia, religious intolerance or divisive stereotypes.

By signing this position, you also agree not to promote racism, sexism, classism, agism, homophobia, religious intolerance, and/or divisive stereotypes with your own words or actions.

I will ask my friends and family to sign this petition because I believe that our small actions can create a stronger nation and a brighter world.

We the undersigned support the "Americans Against Hatred" petition because we have decided to publicly declare our position on the issues of racism, sexism, classism, agism, homophobia, religious intolerance and divisive stereotypes.

We acknowledge that our great nation is still home to people who harbor biases against others, and we agree that there is no place for intolerance in the United States of America.  We know that we can do better as Americans, and we will do our part to promote unity.

We believe that small actions can make a large impact on society. With that in mind, supporters of this position publicly agree to speak out when friends, family members, and co-workers display attitudes or actions of non-acceptance toward others. We will propel our nation into a stronger sense of unity by countering messages of hatred, division, and ignorance with truth, reason, peace, and sound information.

The change we need will start in our homes, our schools, and among friends as we continue to grow in unity together. We hope you will join our effort to make America a better place by signing this petition and by carrying its message with you to your home, your school, your place of work, and your neighborhood.
