Australia's Dolly Magazine is one of the most popular young teen's magazine's running today. However it focuses primarily on ads for products testing on animals, articles solely based on what will make a young girl look 'hot', how to 'be a better kisser', celebrity gossip, and has literally nothing substantial for any growing woman to look up to and learn from. I urge you to sign this petition, get a word out to Dolly, and ask that they make a positive change; and educate young teens on real life issues.

Dear Dolly, I would like you to consider a few changes to your magazine, for the better of young teens. You base your articles solely on makeup, (products tested on animals aswell), celebrity gossip which promotes rumours and gossiping within schools, bad role models, vanity and looks and literally nothing about causes that will help to educate and teach your readers to grow in a positive way.
Some of those causes can be anything from animal cruelty, abuse, family issues and divorce, culture and diversity, smoking and drugs, global warming, environmental issues etc. You seem to be less interested in helping teenagers in Australia grow up to create a positive impact apon others than you are on how to 'be an A Kisser'. Please consider a few changes, help our world be a positive, helpful one and not left in the dark!
Thank-you very much for taking your time to read this.
We signed the "Dolly Magazine - Help young girls use their hearts, not their looks!" petition!

teens should know about real life issues because when they go out into the world they will know the dangers and be more alert to what is going on around them.

It makes me sad to hear that a young girl's madazine would talk about how to kiss better and how to be sexy. It is time that we stop seeing girls has objects. It is time to educate and write about self-esteem; education and to be a strong female.

Try writing about peer pressure, and individuality. Not FOLLOWING what all the anerexic hollywood does. This is a girls magazine they dont need to mature as much as your asking them to.

Dolly magazine should teach girls about true life issues, not telling them how to make themselves look better, it only brings forth more self esteem issues onto young girls everywhere. I don't agree with this magazine or any magazine with these kinds of articles. The young girls do not need to feel insecure about how they look, the size that they are, or the clothes that they wear. These articles need to be changed, or more and more girls are going to face a difficult struggle with life and "fitting in."
