Save the Orangutans of Indonesia

Mr. President, during a recent tour through Indonesia the German actor, Hannes Jaenecke, made a film about Orangutans. He reported that Orangutans are not only kept as pets, but that sharia law is applied to them and their hand is cut off if they steal, for example an orange. Moreover, it was reported that female Orangutans are shaved and kept in brothels for the gratification of men. Orangutans reportedly are also used in kick boxing events.
We, the undersigned,  want to urge you to stop this disgrace to humanity and immediately take action to protect the Orangutans in your country. We also want to encourage you to establish strict animal rights laws in Indonesia so that the cases of animal cruelty can be properly prosecuted.

We want to thank you for your time to read our plea for justice to the Orangutans.
