It's unfortunate that The Biggest Treasure on this planet which is the Amazonian Rain Forest is in the hands of an irresponsible country.Countries that see no use in the forest but to cut it down and try building highways in its place.Obviously no trees means no roots in the ground to keep the moisture and rainwater at bay.This is an excellent formula for HUGE FLOODS at times going on for months because after all this is the RAINforest.Countries like Brazil do NOT deserve to have as much control over rain forests. A good example where a country does everything to protect the rain forest is Costa Rica.Because the country's economy is primarily based on tourism they understand the importance of keeping the forest as pure as possible.This is good for the forest thus for everyone on this planet but on the other hand it's also beneficial for Costa Ricans because it draws in Millions of tourists and that means higher employment rate.

As a concerned citizen of the human race, it would be absolute sabotage to the quality of human life to NOT protect this one of a kind, valuable ecosystem of this planet.
