The Childrens Wireless Protection Act
We the people of the United States petition Congress for the immediate placement of clear and visible warning labels on all cell phone, WIFI and EMR (electro magnetic radiation) related packaging and the buildings utilized by the public which carry the signals and for the replacement of WIFI in schools with hard wired internet access. The citizenry of the United States are not being properly warned or protected against the harmful and potentially deadly health effects from these now ubiquitously used EMR products. Further, all warning labels should be paid for by industry.

Warning, Some scientific studies have shown serious health effects associated with electro magnetic radiation and this product, including cancer and reproductive health effects. It is recommended that pregnant women and children under the age of 21 keep this product away from their head and body.We realize that much of the US public school system is inundated with WIFI for “better learning”. Not only is ADD/ADHD a known health effect from these EMR signals and a serious detriment to learning, but the genotoxicity associated with EMR can lead to all kinds of ill health effects including hormonal changes and reproductive health effects. It is a known fact that children’s bodies are still developing and even more vulnerable to the harmful effects of toxins. We strongly urge legislators that all the wireless infrastructure in public schools be replaced with wired infrastructure at INDUSTRY’S expense and as soon as possible.

Genotoxicity describes a deleterious action on a cell genetic material affecting its integrity. Genotoxic substances are known to be potentially mutagenic or carcinogenic, specifically those capable of causing genetic mutation and of contributing to the development of tumors. This includes both certain chemical compounds and certain types of radiation. Typical genotoxins like aromatic amines are believed to cause mutations because they are nucleophilic and form strong covalent bonds with DNA resulting with the formation of Aromatic Amine-DNA Adducts, preventing accurate replication. Genotoxins affecting sperm and eggs can pass genetic changes down to descendants who have never been exposed to the genotoxin.
LEGAL STANDING FOR WIFI OUT OF THE CLASSROOMThe General Duty Clause says workers must be informed of toxic environments if they are working in one. Electro magnetic fields are a long known carcinogenic toxin. Teachers are not being informed of this work hazard. If a teacher stands with a high power line at his/her desk and teaches all day, they would have to be informed of the hazards of the electro magnetic fields which surround them. They are currently in a much more dangerous working environment with electro magnetic fields running freely throughout the air with no line to contain them at all. They are totally unaware of the hazardous state they are working in. Warning labels must be placed on all schools so that parents and teachers are aware that faculty and children are all working in a KNOWN TOXIC ENVIRONMENT with known carcinogenic and reproductive health effects, as required by law, until such time as wireless infrastructure is replaced with hard wired, high speed internet infrastructure.
THE ADDED BONUS OF FINANCIAL SAVINGS TO THE US BY MANDATING WARNING LABELS...
The uninsured of America equals approximately 20% of the population. The amount of money saved over the years on the above listed diseases on health care from the Medicaid/Medicare system is absolutely staggering. Please see our sample table in our full letter to Congress using just brain tumors, as well as our explanation on cost of after care and possible lifetime care when someone is permanently disabled by any one of the serious illnesses listed in this petition. An already financially strapped America should not have to pay for these extra costs in completely preventable disease which EMR will be causing this and future generations. The general devastation these preventable EMR related illnesses have on the victims and their families is also a cost the public should not have to bear.
Our health, our children's health and the future health of our economy are at stake. We implore Congress to take immediate action on this bill.
