During recent years, the rhino population has decreased drastically due to illegal poaching. As proud citizens of South Africa, I believe it is our duty to look after the environment and protect any species from becoming extinct. The future of South Africa lies in the hands of this generation and if we initiate projects against illegal poaching from now, we may be able to succeed in putting an end to the ruthless acts of poaching and create a bright and fruitful future for our country. I would hate to imagine a country in which the future generations cannot have the opportunity to visit a rhino at a national park because of extinction.
