Oil Companies Are Overworking Their Employees

Too many oil field workers are on-call 24-7, worked to the bone by greedy bosses, relocated far from home and sent away for long periods of time from loved ones. Many accidents can happen in the oilfield and money cant buy someone's life back.

Many accidents can happen in the oilfield and money cant buy someone's life back. These accidents are usually related to fatigue, tiredness, stress and depression which is caused from overworking these hardworking employees. These companies need to rotate these 80 hour workers into two 40hr employees to make more jobs instead of making so much stress on one person. If oil companies share most of their employeement and rotated their schedules occasionally we could see a fall in accident to death related issues. It is unhealthy to overwork these employees especially if they been doing the job for over 5 years.

Employees will be much happier and fully awake when working if they finally had a chance to see their family at least a day or two out of the whole week working out in the field. We just dont see that in most companies, nowadays every big companies require 24-7 on call, relocation required, with most using 3 weeks on to 3-4 day off. I know if I had kids I would want to see them at least once a week to make sure I am a father instead of a work slave to some company making money for them. Yeah we have families to feed but not to an extent to the point we are not part of the family we protect.
