There is a diet product which falls under the name "Raspberry Ketone Blast" and it purports to "Melt away fat" and "Get a tight body" by taking these diet pills.
Nothing new there, then.
However, this insidious website offers to sell you a trial sample of the Raspberry Ketone and the Cleanse Xtrem for £3.95 and £2.95 respectively without offering clear Pre-Contractual instructions or specific information relating to your rights and their obligations under a distance selling contract, because what you don't realise is, if you don't opt out before 14 days are up, you are in their 'program' and that's when it gets expensive... they will then charge you £95.00 + £89.00 per month until you call and try and cancel.
This ‘Pre-Contractual’ information should include: identity of the supplier, description of the main characteristics of the product or service, price, delivery costs, arrangements for delivery, performance and payment, cancellation rights, cost of communication, period of validity of offer, etc.
None of which are clearly visible on the page where you sign up for this product.
This information should be communicated clearly before your order is confirmed so that you can be in possession of the full facts but it isn't. You have to physically click on the terms and conditions (which opens on another page) to find out that once you submit the order, their 14 day countdown begins, and by the time you receive your order you have very little (if any) time to cancel or return the product for a refund.
The terms and conditions will tell you that "Your 14 day trial use period begins from the date on which you take physical possession of the Product." but this is simply not true.
What's more, they will also charge £40 "shipping and handling fees" to return their product.
I fell for this scam, as have thousands of other people. I agreed to pay for the trial product and forgot all about it. Only now, two months later have I realised that nearly £400 has disappeared from my bank account and despite my appeals to the company to return their unopened product, they refused to refund me.
£400 gone.
This is money I will never get back and as I have a medical condition which prevents me from working full time, it is money I simply cannot afford to lose.
They even tried to charge me for another month's supply while I was on the phone to them!
Companies like this are unscrupulous to say the least. If they are not trading illegally then their lack of CLEAR, pre-contractual information on their website makes them sail exceedingly close to the wind and they must be stopped, ordered to cease trading, or at the very least, change their information so that people can see at a glance clearly what they are signing up for.

Please take a look at what this company is doing and sign the petition.
Thank you.

Raspberry Ketone Blast and Cleanse Xtrem have a website which does not clearly show clear Pre-Contractual instructions or specific information relating to your rights and their obligations under a distance selling contract.
It is only IF you click on their terms and conditions link that you find out certain facts:
In fact I believe they deliberately keep this information hidden in order to misinform the public as to their rights and once the trial packs have been shipped out, it is very difficult to cancel or return the product for a refund.
I appeal to you to review their website from a consumer's perspective and understand why so many people are being under-informed about this product.

I would also appeal to you to look at the plight of the many people on just this one site where we have been caught out by the lack of pre-contractual information.

All I would ask is that this company trade fairly and clearly show on the same page their terms and conditions in writing before you agree to buy, and not disavow their contractual obligations as they have done in my case.
I have lost £400 which is a lot of money in my case. I have a medical condition which pre-disposes me to work sporadically and at best, part time.
Where I thought I was buying a sample product for a one off fee, I found myself (too late) tied into a ongoing subscription of extortionate amounts for a very small product, with no information clearly given or invoice sent.
I have even been charge for a month's supply I did not receive.
I hope this letter will at least bring awareness to this unscrupulous company.
Yours sincerely
Lucy Jennings.
