Stop Plans to Drill in the Atlantic and the Arctic Affecting Climate Change

Just recently, the oil industry has the support of the Obama administration when pushing for offshore drilling projects in the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. However, issues and concerns have changed affecting climate change. You can read more on this issue and concern at http://action.biologicaldiversity.org/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=17410

The Center for Biological Diversity is working to put an end to these plans to drill in the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. Recent talks in Paris has made a commitment to successful climate change as reported in the above article.  This means keeping fossil fuels in the ground and such safety begins offshore.

Our efforts in this petition is to encourage President Obama and the U. S. government to be effective with its climate control and energy policies by banning the plans to drill in the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.  We need to do what is best for our environment and the marine life in these waters.  You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.

President Obama – We are highly concerned about your plans for drilling in the Atlantic and Arctic oceans.  In our nation’s best interest and according to climate scientists, fossil fuel reserves need to remain in the ground. We strongly oppose your plan for the new oil and gas leasing in the Arctic and Atlantic oceans.  Please ensure a quick resolution on this issue so that you can get the U. S energies policies to meet in accordance with the commitments implemented at the Paris climate change talks.  Take immediate steps through a permanent ban on Arctic and Atlantic Ocean drilling.
