Support the Sportsmen's Act of 2012 before it is too late

Senator Jon Tester (D-Mont.), along with fourteen co-sponsors, has introduced the Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 as a standalone bill. On September 22, its last day in session prior to the Presidential election, the Senate voted 84 to 7 in favor of the motion to proceed on the Sportsmen’s Act of 2012, which tees up the bill for a vote when the Senate returns in early November.
Among other things the Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 will:
Will direct 1.5 percent of the Land and Water Conservation Fund to ensure access to fishing, hunting and other recreational activities.
Authorize the National Fish Habitat Partnership, the most comprehensive effort ever attempted to conserve, restore and enhance fish habitat on a range-wide scale.
