VAX-D Recipients Demand Medicare Coverage for Spinal Decompression

VAX-D is a non-invasive method used to treat spinal pain. Similar to traction but without the weights and pulleys of yesteryear, VAX-D treatments are painless and administered frequently in conjunction with physical therapy. VAX-D treatments come in packages of 22 sessions. The number of sessions required to achieve a particular patient outcome varies and not all spinal injuries are amenable to this type of therapy.

Most health insurance companies and Medicare do not cover VAX-D treatments. This purpose of this petition is to right this wrong. I speak for the many patients who have benefitted from VAX-D treatments, but whose pocketbooks have suffered, and for those who continue to endure pain because they cannot afford the treatments.

Please join me in bringing attention to this issue. Health insurance companies and medical delivery systems should support medical breakthroughs that benefit citizen-patients, and our government representatives have a moral obligation to protect the public welfare.
