Yellowstone is mandated by law to protect wild bison, yet Superintendent Daniel Wenk has plans to capture and slaughter wild buffalo.
The Interagency Bison Management Plan places Montana’s cattle industry before wildlife and threatens the buffalo’s immediate suvivial. Yelowstone’s plans to capture and slaughter wild bison are absolutely contrary to their mission to preserve and protect plant and animal species unimpaired.
Extinct throughout their native, historic range, wild bison number fewer than 4,300 individuals with last remnent herds only existing in and around Yellowstone.
Tell Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Daniel Wenk to stop catering to Montana’s cattle politics and to protect the last wild buffalo herds.
