Stop mental hospital strip searches

My friend Micheal Vigorito was at clarion psychiatric center and they forced a same gender strip search and physical exam on him, prior to coming to clarion psychiatric center he was sexually abused at a RTF home by a male caregiver. I think if mental hospitals have to do strip searches patients should be given a gender choice. some male patients may prefer female doctors and nurses and chaperones. Some men, women, boys and girls may have been sexually assaulted by same sex care givers or other adults and a forced same gender strip search and physical could cause more mental pain. The mental hospital strip search is a medical procedure and should be gender neutral. Mental patients should be given the same rights as regular patients in a regular hospital. Patients in regular hospitals are given a gender prefernce, so why can't the mentally ill be given the same rights. I understand that mental hospitals have to be safe. But give the patients a choice of gender care. some patients may prefer same gender. It should be up to the patient not the hospital. Michael Vigorito has always preferd female doctors and nurses and so do I. If I was a patient in a mental hospital and had mental problems I would want a female nurse and female chaperone to do the hospital strip search and physical exam. Mental patients should be treated with love kindness and respect. Clarion psychiatric center treats its patients like prisoners not family like they pretend to do. Clarion psychiatric center is just as bad as the Judge Rotenberg Educational center in canton massachusetts. They have don aversive therapy in the past. Like prolong restraint and electric shock like Judge rotenberg center did. I have heard some stories from people who went to clarion psychiatric center, and trust me this stuff happened. The staff at clarion psychiatric are very rude and could care less of patients needs and rights. This is what patient are telling me. So I don't think any psychiatric hospital or RTF home sould be doing strip searches, if they have to, the patients should be given a choice on the gender that does them. some males prefer females and vise versa. Mental paitents should be given the same rights as regular hospital patients.
