Save Monkey tied to tree

We all need to sign this petition to save this monkey.  Tied up and left with humans can cause serious problems the monkey.

We, the readers of Yahoo demand that you refrain from displaying such disgusting pictures.  The article leads one to believe that the poor monkey can come and go at will with phrases such as, 'decided to let the monkey stay'.  It doesn't have much choice.  If the author of this disgusting article bothered to look at her pictures, she would have seen a rope tethering this poor monkey to a tree.

Yahoo and Youtube have posted a video showing a monkey interacting with a human baby. The caption read, 'Baby and Monkey are Best Friend's. The article states that the monkey just walked into their home. They were terrified at first until they saw that it became best friends with their baby girl, then they let it stay. Utter rubbish!!

When you see the young monkey tethered by its neck to a tree with a thick rope, you can see that the monkey is there for one reason, as a captive pet.

I am so desperate to help this little thing that I have to ask for any advice you may be able to give me ie best place to target this petition. This is the first time I have started a petition of what I hope will have an impact on wildlife and help to release this monkey.

You will note that as my 'target' I have stated yahoo, Youtube and researching  authorities.  This is because I intend to do research to find out exactly in Northern India this is happening and try to locate the people that can help this monkey.  Any ideas, please let me know.  Thank you.

Update #29 years ago
I have contacted by phone and email Monkey World and PETA UK, who have promised to forward our concerns to PETA India. Monkey World tell me that the monkey is in fact a Macaque and has probably had its teeth removed. Thank you all for your good work. Please keep you work going because together I/we hope we can rescue this animal.
Update #19 years ago
Yesterday, Monday 12 January I contacted Monkey World and informed them of the plight of this poor monkey. They were interested in the fact that I had created a petition with Care2. However, they did inform me that they couldn't help every monkey. Perhaps though if we can get enough petitions signed someone will feel the need to help this monkey. I wanted to let you know that I have read your comments and sent a green star. My heart wishes it could send you more. 1,025 and counting guys.
