STOP Direct TV from Bullying You and Your Pocket! BOYCOTT them.

This action is important because it will help to protect U.S. citizens from companies who aim to take advantage of consumers. 

Take action against company's who bind you to a contract but do not hold up their end of the contract, and still make you liable for cancellation fees. Direct TV is notorious for month-to-month price fluctuations, and also customer service runaround.

Their fraud tactic begins with a Representative in your local store who verbally quotes you a price for a two year contract. My bill started at $60.59. I opted out of their Genie DVR, and cancelled all promotional channels on time to lessen by bill but every month my bill increased. I started service with them in September 2015 here is an example of my monthly bills $60.59 to $63.85 to $55.65 to $78.82 back to $63.85 then to $69.19 and finally to $111.99. I tried to cancel but received a phone call from their escalation department and was quoted a month-to-month price for one year at $43.62 and then I could cancel without a penalty but then I received the $111.99 bill. They refused to honor their own agreement of $43.62.

Each month I spent an average of 50 plus minutes on the phone with their customer service dept., managers and escalation dept. 

Research shows that there are more than 88 cases pending against Direct TV with one Attorney alone. It is worth it to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection and the Federal Trade Commission. And if you lost money with this service, sue them by way of arbitration (they are covered from actual lawsuits). By my second week into reporting I already have a lawyer who has already submitted demand letters.
