Our mission is to SAVE the Library Field in Park City, UT from construction...setting it aside as permanent urban greenspace.
The Library Field in Old Town Park City is the LAST untouched greenspace in an otherwise urban setting. The Library Field means many things to many locals, but one thing we are united on is preserving that space for generations to come. We are trying to convince the City Council that any attempts to build a few homes on that field is short-sighted at best, and a tragedy at worst. Once you take greenspace, it is gone FOREVER.
We the undersigned do declare:
1) we are against any building on the Library Field open greenspace at any time
2) we support the preservation of the Library Field open greenspace forever through the use of conservation easements
3) we demand that Park City officials take all steps necessary to insure that this treasured greenspace remains open and undeveloped for future generations to enjoy
Please take a moment to sign our petition and be heard - that the Park City Library Field is important to save and not to develop on...
So PLEASE send an e-mail: council_mail@parkcity.org to send your support for the Library Field to the City Council and Mayor...tell them why this historic, invaluable field of grass needs to be preserved for future generations. A quick e-mail will send a huge impact if we all do it.

They passionately expressed a desire to preserve the field with some form of protection. These new members are the votes we will be counting on when we present our case to COSAC and the Council.
What a week! Page 1 of the Park Record, huge turnout for the council mtg, and a KPCW interview! On 8/3 the city council came out "on the record" opposing building on the Library Field, but FELL SHORT of endorsing it to be preserved forever. So let's keep going - let's finish the job! Recommendations will be sent to subscribers for future action in a few days. For now pat yourselves on the back for a job well done!
