I have seen a document when I was in Finland, that Russia has much mining and Oildrilling and there was told that they have to make the area colder with machines, otherwise the whole place would be jiggling quagmire! This all happens on the tundra area.
They also have the world's only cry museum in this permafrost area in Siberia which is more south and that is not in danger; it's important because they have mammoths there, whole mammoths found in the cryo place and they are untouchable. Thay also have nowadays foud Ljuba the woolly mammoth baby found in one piece and that is in a normal museum but in s pecial ”tank”.
Right back to business: What cause the mining in permafrost area: It cause CO2 adding on the Earth, enourmous pollution and if the permafrost waste away it is a big loss for the whole globe.
This is a issue which the UN should discuss in the near future.
