Sarah Cindy White is Indiana's longest-serving female prison inmate, she was convicted in 1976 on six counts of murder as a result of setting a fire which killed the Greenwood family that took her in as an orphaned teen.
This miscarriage of justice, she is serving six counts of life sentences, starting at the age of 16. Especially considering that the fire that resulted in the death of the Greenwood family was an action made to escape the sexual violence she was experiencing from her father.
Now, at 60 year old, she has served 44 years and counting in the Indiana womens prison.
