Demand large lumber industries to stop cutting trees this September 26 (Canadian National Tree Day)

  • by: Joshua Buzzell
  • recipient: West Fraser and Canfor (largest lumber companies in Canada)

This September 26 millions of trees will be planted by Canadians nation wide and even some across the globe in celebration of National Tree Day.  But in contrast to the rest of Canada, companies like West Fraser and Canfor will continue to deforestate Canada regardless of the newly declared national day by MP Royal Galipeau.

Why don't they stop cutting trees for one day of the year in respect of Canada's wildlife?

China's recent economic boom and the nearing arrival of Christmas has boosted China's industries and her demand for the necessary lumber for her economy to feed the boom.

Please sign this petition to stop these companies from cutting down Canadian trees on National Tree Day.
