Atlantic Marine Products is a company that sells nutritional supplements. They market Terra Nova Omega 3 capsules made from the oil of seals. This is a by-product of the seal fur industry, and produced by rendering the seal's blubber into oil. It is claimed to be superior to other oils, and chemically similar to levels of DPA, DHA, and EPA as found in the human body.
This marketing stratagem conceals the fact that countless seals are brutally clubbed and skinned alive...something that the majority of consumers are opposed to. Approximately 80% of Canadians are against the slaughter of seals. Despite this, every year it continues. Although most Americans do not purchase and consume seal oil products, 70% of Canadian seafood is sold in U.S. markets.
It seems it is not enough to not wear fur and avoid consuming these supplements...the slaughter continues, with a world market for fur and now "Nutritional Omega Oils." Please pledge to boycott all seafood from Canada until the slaughter stops. Make it unprofitable for the murders to continue.
