Send All Tigers to Safe Reputable Sanctuaries, Not Just a Few!!

Some of you may have heard about the Tiger Temple in Thailand and alleged mistreatment of the tigers in their care.  They have been accused of abusing the tigers for trafficking and commercial gain.  This has become a major tourist trap because of their interaction with the tigers to hug and pose in photos.  To prepare these animals for human involvement, trainers used bamboo sticks to strike them during every morning session. Additionally, the tigers were often beaten and starved of food and water to create dominance in the animals.  These issues and concerns led wildlife activists’ authorities to remove the tigers from this abusive facility.

You can read more at http://www.onegreenplanet.org/news/tiger-temple-refuses-to-release-tigers-again/For their own protection and well-being, some of the elephants have been removed from the Tiger Temple but this facility still has failed to release all the tigers and place in safe, reputable sanctuaries.  This facility has met with opposition from further releasing any more tigers.

Despite continual efforts to retire the big cats over and over again, legal action has been engaged so that the Tiger Temple abides by the efforts of the animal activists to ensure all the tigers are sent to sanctuaries.  This is not a healthy zoo kept in business by tourists, and their alleged abuse and mistreatment of animals needs to stop.  These tigers all need to be freed and live happy lives, not just a select few.

Our effort in this petition is to demand that the Tiger Temple release all of their tigers to healthy, reputable sanctuaries as they originally agreed upon and stop fighting the decision to save all the animals.  You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.  We all need to work together and be a voice for these beautiful big cats.

Tiger Temple of Thailand – In light of recent investigations and recommendations by Thai wildlife authorities, we strongly urge you to send all of your tigers to healthy, reputable sanctuaries, not just a few.  These animals need to live normal, happy lives and not be held in confinement with regular mistreatment.  Stop opposing the original efforts and proposal by the wildlife authorities and ensure that all the tigers at the Tiger Temple are immediately released to sanctuaries that will provide them with proper care and life they deserve.
