Severely Charge Woman On Repeat Animal Cruelty Charges

Please sign and share this petition everywhere in an effort to harshly punish a dog groom who is also a repeat offender of animal cruelty within the past couple of years. I am not sure how she could have been convicted the first time, get off with minor punishments and again be allowed to be in the animal business again to subject more animals to her cruel ways. Help us in getting her more accountable for her actions, out of the animal business and banned from even coming within inches of these sweet, innocent creatures.

This is the second occurrence in the past two years where Barbara Christian of the Barbara's Pet Palace was charged with 46 counts of animal cruelty. She is not only a dog groomer but a breeder of Schnauzers. When called to her facility, authorities of Johnson City in Washington County were overwhelmed by the stench that consisted of urine and feces throughout. Animals kept outdoors were muddy and filthy and all the dogs both within and out of the facility reeked from urine that was deeply imbedded into their skin and coats.

Authorities were narrowing in on their investigation of the facility for several months now. They have confronted the owner in previous months, warning her to get things cleaned up, the facility and condition of the dogs, but when returning to check on the status, nothing was improved. She is charged with 46 counts of animal cruelty, this time! One of the investigators stated that "The conditions are just pathetic. How she sells these animals it's beyond me. Somebody would have to smell that odor. If you sell animals for a living, you board, you groom, you're AKC registered, then you need to take care of your facility." However, Ms. Christian did not meet any of those criteria and even denied the condition of her animals and facility.

What is even more disturbing is that this is this woman's second run in with animal control and the authorities. Just two years prior, this same woman was cited with 35 counts of animal cruelty and not keeping up with medical attention and necessary vaccinations. At that time, she pledged to clean up her act and the judge at the time dropped all charges. She not only did not clean up the facility but continued to abuse the animals regularly to the point of authorities returning to find even more animals in despair in her care.

Authorities are finally tired of all her excuses and the devastation of the animals found in the care of Ms. Christian. Please sign and share this petition everywhere possible in an effort to ensure this woman is severely held accountable for all the harm she caused all of these animals. We must put her out of business for good, have her punished and banned from ever working with, caring for or even coming within inches of another animal for the rest of her life!

Police and Judicial Authorities of Johnson City/Washington County - Please ensure that Barbara Christian of the Barbara's Pet Palace is put out of business permanently, have her severely punished for her actions, current 46 counts of felony animal cruelty and the past additional 35 counts of felony animal cruelty, putting her away for a very long time. Be a voice for all those animals without a voice and get them the justice they deserve. Additionally, make sure this never occurs again; ban her from ever owning or caring for another animal the rest of her life. This should be a common protocol for anyone accused of animal cruelty in an effort to avoid repeat offenses.
