There is enough satellite surveilance that is ongoing of planet earth and its cities, including rural areas and highways, that it would be almost too easy to solve abductions, robberies, rapes, serial murders, and other violent crimes by simply using the mass of live and archived google earth imagery to identify perpetrators and intercept violent crime before it becomes murder. This imagery is already being used for terrorism prevention and other surveilance, it is time to use it to actually prevent and solve crimes. This would reduce the financial and human costs so dramatically that it is almost a crime to not use it.
Please spread the word about this important petition. The technology exists to view crime scenes and their exit routes in real time, including buildings and other places that criminals escape to, and take their victims to, in order to commit violent crimes against them. it is time to use google earth for something other than military and pleasure use Pease sign and share this petition so that we can apply the pressure necessary to our north american governments.
